Catholic Pilgrimage | Homerun Nievera | Feeling Down? Here are 3 Things to Tell God During Quarantine | There might be a lot of things running through your mind right now while you’re in quarantine. But the best thing you can really do instead of feeling down or lonely is to use the time to talk to God. But hey, what will you tell him?
#1 Thank God
The toughest days may not be over but there are just things that are mysteries to us but are definitely blessings from God. There’s this story of a guy who broke his wrist and ended up meeting his future wife in the hospital. Can we be like St. Therese of Lisieux and claim that “Everything is a blessing,” no matter the circumstances?
Take note of these Bible verses:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28)
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (I Thessalonians 5:16-18 )
So keep this in mind. Today is definitely a blessing and maybe, you haven’t realized it yet. Because that realization happens after the blessing has been revealed. So simply thank God that you are here right now and not somewhere else.
#2 Give you the Power to Overcome
There are just many things running through your mind today. It’s too overwhelming at times, right? But with God, nothing is impossible.
And why not tell God:
Father, I don’t really know why You have allowed this trial into my life, why You haven’t asked my guardian angel to prevent me from this situation, but I believe it is for my good, and that I will learn the reasons for it in Heaven!
“Father everything is possible for you. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” (Mark 14:36)”.
#3 Ask for Help
In your lowest moments, It’s ok to cry out for help to God. Remember that Jesus called out to His Father in Heaven when He was in Gethsemane, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet not what I want but what you want.” (Matthew 26:39)
Remember that “God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear” (1Corinthians 10:13).
Here’s a prayer you can do:
O Lord my God you are my refuge and my strength. You are my ever present help in times of trouble. When it seems like my world is crumbling around me and I am thrown around by the storms of my life, take away my fear. When I am weak, you are my strength. When I am vulnerable, you are my refuge. When I cry for help, you will answer. Remind me Lord that you are always with me, you will never leave or forsake me. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
God is a faithful God. He will not forsake His people. So whatever situation you are in right now while in quarantine. Talk to Him. Take time to meditate on His answers through your heart. When you call to Him, He will answer. That’s a promise.
