MFC Singles in support of Buhay Party-list
Catholic Pilgrimage PH | Manila, Philippines | The Philippines’ biggest Catholic groups rallied to support Buhay Party List as they upheld to align with the latter’s pro-life stand in congress.
Buhay Party List First Nominee Von Valdepeñas and Second Nominee Xavy Padilla, said they have won the hearts — and votes — of the leading Catholic organizations in the Philippines. They said that ever since getting on the road to campaign all over the country, their pro-life and pro-God advocacies have sparked more support among the Catholic laity.
According to Padilla, who is an active servant leader of the Missionary Families of Christ, Buhay has somehow awakened the hard-to-get and so-called Catholic vote.
“There have always been talks about the existence of a Catholic Vote. And we believe that because Buhay is very much aligned with the Catholic stance of being pro-life, pro-God, and pro-family, both Catholic conservatives and moderates have banded together to have more representatives in Congress to fight against bills that will destroy the very existence of the human race,” said Padilla.
Padilla is a member of the board the Sanguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas.

Valdepeñas, on the other hand, was pleasantly surprised that the biggest Catholic groups and pro-life organizations went all out to support Buhay and its advocacies.
“I didn’t really expect these organizations to join our pro-life and pro-God crusade in Congress for this elections. I am overwhelmed by the warm support of these organizations with hundreds of thousands of members nationwide, worldwide even!” exclaimed Valdepeñas.

The Catholic groups that both Buhay nominees were referring to include: Missionary Families of Christ, Friends of Divine Mercy, Dios Gugma, Sanguiniang Laiko (Tarlac and Taytay), Human Life International, and Soldiers of Christ.
