6 of the USA’s Oldest Churches

1610: San Miguel Mission, Santa Fe, New Mexico

According to an article in Aleteia, where it chronicled 15 of America’s oldest churches (by Zelda Caldwell), the San Miguel Mission has been operating in 1620 — or 10 years before the Mayflower landed at Plymouth Rock in 1630. Built in (now) Santa Fe, New Mexico, the church still stands where Catholics can hear mass till today.

Other churches have been around since the 17th to 18th centuries and are shown below.
